An email QR uses a mailto link containing an address and, optionally, a subject. It helps a visitor start a message without typing your address.

Create and check it

  1. Use the email address that should receive the message.
  2. Add a short subject if it helps you identify the inquiry. It will be visible in the QR payload.
  3. Scan the download on a device with an email application configured and check the recipient and subject.

Troubleshooting this QR type

Nothing happens after scanning
Check that a mail application or protocol handler is configured.
No email arrives
The visitor must compose and send the message; opening a draft is not delivery.
